FAQs
1. How do I book a session?
You can book directly through online booking to view availability and secure your session instantly.
If you’d rather chat first, you’re more than welcome to reach out via Facebook, email, or text. I’m always happy to answer questions, talk through ideas, and make sure it feels like the right fit before booking.
However you start, I’ll guide you through the rest.
4. What should we wear?
Neutral tones, soft textures, and pieces that feel like you tend to photograph beautifully. Creams, tans, muted greens, soft blacks, denim, knits, and flowy fabrics are always a great place to start. If a pop of color is your thing, rock it. Just keep it intentional and balanced.
Avoid loud logos or overly busy patterns that pull focus away from connection. Most importantly, wear something you feel confident and comfortable in. If you can move, laugh, and breathe easily, you’ve chosen well. I’m always happy to help with styling if you need it.
7. Can I purchase extra images?
Yes! Extra edited images are available for an extra fee. Please contact me for updated information!
10. Do you photograph events or weddings?
Yes, and I truly love them. I’ll probably cry during the speeches, hug the mother of the bride while we talk about how beautiful she is, and absolutely two-step with Uncle George if the moment calls for it.
I’m there to capture it all. The big moments, the quiet glances, the laughter, the details you didn’t even realize were happening. So you can stay present, soak it in, and trust that every part of the day is being documented and preserved forever.
If that sounds like your kind of energy, let’s chat. Reach out for a custom quote and to see if we’re the right fit. I’ll be your sidekick for the day, and the vibe matters just as much as the photos.
2. What types of sessions do you offer?
I photograph real life as it happens. The bold seasons, the quiet in-betweens, and the moments you don’t want to forget.
From empowering boudoir sessions to growing families, milestones, maternity, children, and seasonal stories, I offer a space for just about every chapter. If it matters to you, it belongs in front of my lens.
No stiff posing. No pressure to be anything but yourself. Just honest, guided sessions that feel as good as the memories they create.
5. Can grandparents or extended family join the session?
Absolutely! One family unit is included in each session. Grandparents or additional family members are welcome to join for an additional $25 per person.
For mini sessions, participation is limited to one family unit due to time constraints. More people mean more time for posing and transitions, and minis are designed to stay quick and efficient.
If you’re hoping to include multiple family units, a longer session is the best fit and a custom quote is required to ensure everyone is photographed beautifully and without feeling rushed.
8. What if the weather is bad?
Let’s define bad.
Cloudy skies? Perfect. Soft light is a photographer’s best friend.
A little wind? Gorgeous movement.
Light flurries? Pure magic.
If we’re dealing with a torrential downpour, extreme heat, unsafe conditions, or weather that makes everyone miserable (or unsafe), we’ll absolutely reschedule for the next available date that works for both of us.
My goal is always beautiful light, comfort, and an experience that feels good. If the weather adds to the magic, we roll with it. If it takes away from it, we wait for better.
11. How do I book a mini session?
Mini sessions are offered just a few times a year and are thoughtfully designed around the season. Think Mother’s Day softness, autumn magic, or cozy holiday moments. Each one is themed, set on specific dates, and available in very limited spots.
Because they’re limited and only open when announced, mini sessions can’t be booked year-round. I share all releases and booking details on Facebook first, so following along there is the best way to catch them when they’re live.
When they’re gone, they’re gone… until the next bit of magic rolls around.
3. Where do sessions take place?
Sessions take place in studio, in the comfort of your home, or at carefully chosen hidden gems tucked throughout Hants County. I’m always open to traveling for the right location, and travel beyond the area is available with additional fees.
6. How and when will I receive my photos?
You’ll receive a private online proofing gallery via email within 5–7 days of your session. From there, you’ll select your favorite images for editing, and your final, fully edited gallery will be delivered digitally within 2 weeks.
9. What’s your cancellation policy?
A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your session and secure your time. With at least 72 hours’ notice, your deposit may be transferred once to a future session, based on availability.
Cancellations with less than 72 hours’ notice will forfeit the deposit. No-shows or same-day cancellations are subject to the full session fee.
